Minutes of Club Meeting – 3 February 2009

Rob opened the meeting and welcomed Little John and Ange (Pres and Mrs Pres NHC), who came over for a visit – great to see them.

Last club outing was the Salvation Army Toy Run in November – been a bit cold since then!!

Xmas Do went very well – very positive feedback.
Club banner went missing – appeal sent out for it to be returned…???
Baz to make enquiries….
Dave C to make enquiries for booking Xmas do for this year.

NHC Kickstart party on Saturday 4 April at Moore Rugby Club – Chunky Monkey playing (the band that should have played our Xmas Do!!)

Rideouts to start around Easter – may be earlier if the weather looks OK.
Ideas required from club members for routes and/or destinations.

Deva Legion rally in June now a week later than advertised – (20/21 June?)
Rainy Daze rally now 23/24 July, unfortunately clashing with NHC summer do!

Sunday 19 April – Ridesafe Rendezvous all-day event in Blackpool.

Texts for rideouts will be starting up again – DL to text all members, members to text back Y or N, if the ride is then cancelled, those who replied Y will get a text advising them.

DL presented plans for Scottish trip – possibly a dozen people interested – DL to progress plans and confirm deposits required by email and at next meeting.

Website – request for members to use the website more, as TB is doing a sterling job getting all the information and photos on there for people to see.
New website to check out – Biker’s Guide – see website for details.

TB presented a tool kit available from Northern Ireland source @ £49 – if can sell 14 kits price goes down to £35 per kit. Kit is comprehensive but fits into tool roll on bike.

NHC and Rainy City to check interest as well – club together?

Tom Heap has emailed details of the HOG rally in Jersey 22/24 May – this clashes with our HOC trip to Scotland but will probably be warmer…

Bill Sweetmore brought a copy of a Japanese bike magazine which features some HOC photos sent in by Bill – feature on the club to hopefully appear in later issue?

Baz advised that Hogfather is looking to move premises (again) before Easter – will advise members when we have the new info.

RL requested members to please bring raffle prizes to next meeting.

Next meeting will be Tuesday 3 March at 8pm @ Sam Platts.
