Minutes of Club Meeting – 7 October 2008

DJ confirmed for the Xmas Do - £140 booked (DJ Dave).

Rideouts in the last month – Trough of Bowland cancelled but should be on for Sunday 12th (11am at Tickled Trout).
Ride last Sunday to Chesterfield – excellent ride led by Bill Sweetmore and Andy Tankard.

NHC End of Summer party – Tony B advised that the numbers were down due to weather being bad.

Hoggin’ The Bridge planned for weekend 18/19 October if anyone interested.

Xmas Do – cost now finalised at £45 per head; £20 if not staying at the hotel.
HOC discount for members is £5, so £40 per head for HOC.

Dave and Cath Tankard now married and off on honeymoon.
Stevie Brown and Angie also married (secretly!!) in Vegas while on “holiday”!!
Congratulations to both couples from all at HOC.

Tony B explained about his holiday trek in South America – fantastic trip – also showed photos of the club Tshirt in several famous venues!!
It was agreed to set up a photo section on the website for travelling Tshirts – all members invited to send in photos showing the wearing of HOC Tshirts around the globe!!

Congratulations to the old bugg…. ever-youthful Mr Cook!!

DC advised about bike insurance – many companies trying to put it up so worth shopping around – Bennetts quoted £208, but got 4 other quotes for £125.

Baz advised about Southport Cruisers rally at Pontins in Southport in February ’09 – bringing details to next meeting.
Hogfather in Southport – Yeti looking for an operations manager and thinking of moving again to another site?
